A St. Patricks Boys High School student is recuperating at Iten County Referral Hospital and 12 others in police custody after they allegedly raided Sing’ore Girls High School on Saturday night.

Reports indicate that a group of 40 forms three and four boys had forced their way into the girls’ dormitory allegedly after receiving text messages from some girls.

The form one and two girls, who were not privy to the arrangements by the senior girls, raised alarm claiming that strangers had broken into their school.

This forced the school’s security officers to intervene attacking the ‘strangers’ and hurting the admitted student on the knee with a panga while several others suffered minor injuries while trying to escape through the barbed wire fence.

Keiyo North Sub-County police boss Fredrick Ochieng said when the police officers visited the girl’s school, they found six packets of condoms, which the boys claimed to have carried to protect their girlfriends.

The arrested boys allegedly told police that they visit the girls’ school once a year and especially during the cold season.

They added that the practise is passed over to the younger generations.
